Building Upon What Works
I am delighted to present to you this edition of LADWP’s Supply Line Newsletter. Our primary objective is to communicate ongoing updates and essential information that concerns you, our valued vendors. We recognize the importance of maintaining a positive relationship while providing you with unparalleled opportunities for business growth. At the same time, it’s imperative that we improve our own operations and increase customer satisfaction. That’s why we continuously assess our business systems and processes in order to build upon what works, instead of changing for change’s sake.
Towards this end, we have thoroughly evaluated the previously publicized LEPS e-procurement system project to determine its ultimate viability, strengths and capabilities, limitations, ease-of-use, cost effectiveness and value for our customers. Our assessment revealed that moving forward with LEPS would have incurred unnecessary changes resulting in vendor/employee inconveniences and inefficiencies in our procurement processes. We would have deviated from an already established and reliable system that we could enhance.
That system is LADWP’s own Electronic-Request-Solicit-Procure (eRSP) system, which we can, and have built upon. We are happy to invite all our vendors back for the relaunch of the new and improved eRSP, which will make doing business with LADWP much easier, providing opportunities for success for all involved. We are genuinely grateful to you, our vendors for your continued partnership in building a better and stronger Los Angeles economy. We look forward to working with you on future contracts through eRSP.
